Native-born San Diegan Julie Taylor began her Singer / Songwriting Career at the age of 13! She studied classical guitar with the world famous Romero Guitar Family as well as classical guitar recording artist Stuart Fox and refined her jazz skills with renowned jazz guitarist Peter Sprague.
She holds a BFA in Music awarded her by the California Institute of the Arts, and cemented her musical foundation at the Dick Groves School of Music in Studio City.
Julie credits her years as a Los Angeles recording studio session back-up vocalist as the perfect training grounds for exposure to a diverse catalogue of material ranging from Jazz Standards, Country, Blues, Contemporary, Pop and Broadway Melodies.
Her unique experience allowed an easy transition from behind the scenes to that of a “Featured Artist” by recording her own original compositions in her private recording studio.
